Meet your First Federal Savings of Lorain Lending Staff
Sharmaine P. Dixon
Originally from Washington D.C., I moved to Ohio when I entered college and received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology. I have been working in the banking and financial industry, counseling clients on financial responsibility. Working closely with clients and knowing that I am helping them achieve a goal is my favorite part.
In my free time I love to read, shop and spend time with my family, friends and sorority sisters. Jamming to Justin Timberlake, watching the “Golden Girls” and “Murder She Wrote” is my idea of a perfect day.
Helping a first time home buyer achieve their dream of home ownership, improving someone’s financial health, to all of the amazing people I have the pleasure of meeting along the way, these are just a few of the things I love about being a part of the mortgage industry. I could not imagine doing anything else!
I take pride in turning what some might consider a stressful time into an exciting and knowledge filled experience. I do this by making sure that I’m aware of my client’s goals, I educate them on all of their options and I make sure that they understand and are comfortable with every aspect throughout this process. My clients are never disappointed with the strong communication and transparency that I offer them.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, shopping, traveling, and experiencing new things. My favorite trip I’ve been on so far is to Costa Rica; it’s beautiful! I also have a fur baby named Frankie.
I started in the banking industry in 1985 as a teller and worked my way up to Chief Lending Officer for a local community financial institution. Most recently, I started a full service mortgage banking operation for another local community bank in Geauga County.
I received my Bachelors from Cleveland State University in Business Administration and my masters from Baldwin-Wallace College with a concentration in Systems Management and Leadership. I am a graduate of the Ohio Banker’s League Blythe School of Banking and completed course work at the American Bankers Association’s Commercial School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
I live in Olmsted Falls and enjoy playing basketball, cards, and relaxing at the beach.
Helping clients with home ownership is something I pride myself on, whether it be your first home purchase, your vacation home, or a new home to fit your life changes.
I have been in the banking industry for 10 years with 8 of those years being a loan originator. Over my years of experience I have learned that every lending situation is unique, and I love being able to tailor your loan to meet your individual needs and goals. I understand that purchasing or refinancing your home is a stressful time in your life, I do my best to educate you to make the process as seamless as possible.
I reside in Port Clinton with my family. I love traveling with my family and allowing my daughter to experience new places the world has to offer.
Having been born in Sandusky and raised in Castalia, I am small town proud!
As a native of this area, I understand the unique financial opportunities and challenges that are present. My number one goal is helping you navigate what can be a confusing, or possibly intimidating process through honest and open communication. I believe that collaborating and helping one another will lead to both personal and communal success. Whether your vision is building a new home, purchasing an established home, or simply gaining financial confidence, my success is measured with yours. I look forward to positively impacting this community one success story at a time!
My free time is dedicated to my family and helping those around me. I enjoy travel, spending time at local sporting activities, and eating Toft’s Ice Cream. I look forward to hearing your story, learning your goals, and meeting your financial needs through personal, attentive service!
