Welcome back! We are excited to announce we have reopened our lobbies!

Until further notice, our temporary lobby hours are:

  • Monday - Friday 9:00am - 2:00pm
  • Saturdays - 9:00am - 1:00pm (Sandusky office closed)
  • Monday – Saturday 9:00am - 10:00am is reserved for high risk customers
  • Drive thrus will remain open
    • Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm
    • Saturdays 9:00am - 1:00pm (Sandusky office closed)

We have also taken additional precautions and implemented the following changes:

  • First Federal team members will wear face masks to protect you and each other.

  • Each branch lobby will have limited space available and post the maximum number of customers permitted inside at one time to allow a minimum of six feet for social distancing,

  • Signs are posted on our entry doors and within the lobbies with details and tips to follow to maintain good hygiene to keep everyone safe. If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, we ask that you do not enter the building. Please read them carefully.

  • A greeter will be just inside the door to guide you where to go and to count how many customers have entered the lobby.

  • Hand-sanitizing stations are available for customer use.

  • Stickers have been placed on the floor that will direct you where to stand while waiting in line. Please remember to practice social distancing and remain 6 feet apart.

  • For safety reasons, the check writing desks are closed: For your convenience, pens, deposit and withdrawal slips are available at the teller windows.

  • Plexi-glass guards have been installed at the teller windows. The employees may ask you to briefly lower your mask for identification purposes. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!

We will continue to take precautions and abide by the CDC guidelines and the governor’s suggestions.  The goal is always to keep everyone’s health and safety in mind.

We understand some customers may want to refrain from in-person visits for now.  We recommend using our other channels to process your transactions: ATMs, online banking, TouchTel, mobile banking or any of our branch drive-thrus.

As this unprecedented time in our lives moves forward, I want to let you know that here at First Federal Savings & Loan of Lorain, the safety of our customers and employees is paramount to us.  We have been open to serve you through our drive-thrus and ATMs at all of our branches, and through pre-planned appointments when necessary.

To Our Valued and Respected Customers,

There is no higher priority for the First Federal Team than the health and safety of our customers, team members and communities.  We are closely monitoring the evolving situation surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and will continue to follow guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and state and local authorities. 

Beginning later this week, hand-sanitizer will be available in lobby areas for customer and employee use. Public spaces within the Bank facilities are being cleaned regularly.

Employees have been provided with information on how to stay healthy and how to avoid illness through proper hygiene practices and the use of social distancing.  Employees are instructed to stay home when they are not feeling well. 

We have assembled a team to meet frequently to review, monitor and adjust operations as the situation changes to ensure continuation of critical business functions.  

As a trusted financial institution, we recommend the following actions to our customers:

  • We encourage the use of online and mobile banking options as well as ATMs for your everyday banking needs. Our banking representatives are able to help you activate (or help you use) your digital banking services, by calling: 1-800-589-8850. 
  • If you are not feeling well, we encourage you to avoid unnecessary trips to the bank. If you need assistance with a banking issue, please call our banking customer service representatives at 1-800-589-8850 or your nearest community branch. 
  • Please make sure your mobile phone number, email address and mobile banking alerts are up-to-date for all of your accounts. This will also help if we have to contact you quickly about your account. Call 1-800-589-8850 for assistance updating this information. Note: Additional security questions may be asked to make changes. 
  • As you conduct transactions at ATMs, at payment terminals (using your payment cards) or when using cash, it is recommended that you should avoid touching your face (eyes/nose/mouth) after completing a transaction and wash your hands or use hand sanitizer as you would after being in any public space.
  • Beware of scams and criminals using fear/intimidation, trickery, urgency or disinformation related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) to attempt to steal your sensitive, personal or account information. Watch out for strange calls, emails, texts or websites that look like they are coming from legitimate businesses or government agencies asking for information like Social Security Number, usernames/passwords (login info), account numbers, credit or debit card numbers, PINs, etc. The Bank will not request such information through email/text/outbound calls.
